So I've started a blog

I don't use Myspace anymore cause it's stupid. I'm going to mostly copy and paste my old blog entries onto here because I might miss them and then possibly, nay, most lilely write some new ones so that you may get a glimpse inside my brain cause it's a weird and fun place to be. But not in an emo way. Because that's so not trendy. Anywho, here are my old myspace quotes and entries, etc:

one of the best articles ive read in a while
http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vdGhlcGhvZW5peC5jb20vQm9zdG9uL05ld3MvNzgwNDQtU29sZGllcnMtY29tbWl0dGluZy1zdWljaWRlLw== love the fn phoenix, and basically the reason why im obsessed with the new real world. psychoanalyzing soldiers...it basically says that right now, for the past two months, suicide mortalities of soldiers have surpassed the number of deaths from combat. and its never happened before. overmedication that isnt regulated plus multiple calls back to duty is never a good mix. plus, in my opinion, our generation was naive about war until 9/11 and still is because of the lack of media coverage and open discussion about it. for our parents, the vietnam war was almost regularly televised. we didnt and still dont know how bad it is so these kids go into it blindly and come out traumatized. not to mention they come home to a public who is split on their opinions of their efforts. the country is almost 50/50 on whether they agree with the war. even worse than that society almost seems indifferent to it. so they come out of it unsure of what people even think about it. at least with nam people would come back to being called baby killers etc etc and they could have a huge argument and back it up with some type of passion. today, true to our messed up contradicting culture of mixed messages, they come home and we dont talk about it. dont talk about ptsd cause its not manly. dont talk about suicide because its disturbing. dont talk about the deaths over there because people wont enlist. for a society that slaps people in the face with overt violence, sexuality and "point of views" we seem to supress any real discussions about...well....anything. and it causes people to go fucking shithouse. its dangerous and scary. and the most scary thing about it is when they mention that in the Veterans hospitals, the psychiatrists treating the soldiers are trying to convince them that their problems stem from pre-existing drinking or problems with depression instead of ptsd. scary stuff.

So Much to Say Fa Realz
I say my hell is the closet I'm stuck inside can't see the light and my heaven is a nice house in the sky I got central heating and I'm alright Can't see the light Keep it locked up inside don't talk about it Talk about the weather Open up my head and let me out little baby Cause here we have been standing for a long long time Can't see the light Treading trodden trails for a long long time, time, time, time, time, time, time I find sometimes it's easy to be myself Sometimes I find it's better to be somebody else I see you young and soft oh little baby little feet, little feet, little hands little baby One year of crying and the words creep up inside Creep into your mind so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say Cause here we have been standing for a long long time can't see the light Treading trodden trails for a long long time........... I find sometimes it's easy to be myself sometimes I find it's better to be somebody else so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say ohh so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say little baby ahh so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say little feet little hands little baby so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, so much to say ~Open up my head and let me out~

If I Had It All
Sometimes I cant move my feet it seemsAs if Im stuck in the ground somehow like a treeAs if I cant even breatheOh, and my screams come whispering out
As if nobody can even see meLike a ghost, sometimes I cant see myselfSometimes, then again, oh
If I were a kingIf I had everythingIf I had you and I could give you your dreamsIf I were giant-sized, on top of it allThen tell me what in the world would I sing forIf I had it all
Sometimes I feel lostAs I pull you out like strings of memoriesWish I could weave them into youThen I could figure the whole damn puzzle outThen again, oh
I could take anythingIf I had no greed to bringOnly the poison thats tainting the cleanOh, then nothingRemembering times much younger than me nowWhen my breath was lightWhen the world raised me up kind
And here mother comforts childEvery moment was waking upBut now Ive grown tired... outIf I had it all, you know
~I'd fuck it up~

What can I say, I'm a lyrics freak.

What’s a Bromance?
How Brody Jenner does in fact define a Bromance:

Although he wasn't quick to establish the terms of a "friendmance," Jenner had quite an elaborate way to define a bromance. "It's a football game," he said. "It's not baseball. The kickoff is the meeting: 'Hey, what's up, bro?' Then, when they catch the ball, it's like, 'Is he going to be cool or not?' If he makes it past the 25-yard line, he's all right. If he gets past that, he's a bro."

"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old. "Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. "Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.' "Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?"VIRGINIA O'HANLON."115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished. Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world. You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding. No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood...

Love Actually-
Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think of the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. And if you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion that love actually is all around.

Genius lyrics. Poetry. Who knew?

Mad Girl's Love Song
(it sounds best when you read it aloud)

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;I lift my lids and all is born again.I think I made you up inside my head. The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,And arbitrary blackness gallops in:I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.I dreamed that you bewitched me into bedAnd sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.I think I made you up inside my head.God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:Exit seraphim and Satan's men:I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.I fancied you'd return the way you said,But I grow old and I forget your name.I think I made you up inside my head.I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again.I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.I think I made you up inside my head."

And another one
"People who think dying is the worst thing don;t know a thing about life."
"Even in the dark I could see it was dying, and doing it alone in the middle of all these unconcerned pines. That was the absolute way of things. Loss takes up inside of everything sooner or later and eats right through it."
"I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it."
"I'm prideful to say I didn't complain. After you get stung, you can't get unstung no matter how much you whine about it."
"Knowing can be a curse on a person's life. I'd traded in a pack of lies for a pack of truth, and I didn't know which one was heavier. Which one took the most strength to carry around? It was a ridiculous question though because once you know the truth, you can't ever go back and pick up your suitcase of lies. Heavier or not, the truth is yours now."
"People, in general, would rather die than forgive. It's that hard. If God said in plain language, 'I'm giving you a choice, forgive or die', a lot of people would go ahead and order their coffin."
"Drifting off to sleep, I thought about her. How nobody is perfect. How you just have to close your eyes and breathe out and let the puzzle of the human heart be what it is."
- The Secret Life of Bees

Do you want s’more? S’more what?
"'You don't chance thinking even that far ahead', he answered. 'You think from day to day. If you allow yourself to think to the future-any personal future- you lose your nerve. And suddenly you recall all the senseless time wasting things you've done....the watsed minutes you'll never recover. And you realize that time is the most precious thing. Because time is life. It's the only thing you can never get back. You can lose a girl and perhaps win her back- or find another. But a second- this second- when it goes, it's irrecovably gone.'"
"'You know, I guess a woman can either love or be loved, but it's almost impossible to have both.'
'Why?'
'I don't know but it just doesn't seem to work out that way.'"
-Valley of the Dolls

Bookworm
"'God damn it'. he said, 'there are nice things in the world- and I mean nice things. We're all such morons to get so sidetracked. Always, always, always referring every goddamn things that happens right back to our lousy egos.' "
"You'd better get busy, though, buddy. The goddamn sand runs out on you every time you turn around. I know what I'm talking about. You're lucky to get time to sneeze in this goddamn phenomenal world."

-J.D. Salinger's Franny and Zooey

are you guys reading books? i like books... Current mood: distractable
"'You're going to start getting closer-that is, if you want to, and if you look for it and wait for it-to the kind of information that will be very, very dear to your heart. Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled and just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them- if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.'"

-JD Salinger's Catcher in the Rye

And she’s smart too! Current mood: breezy
"'What IS the secret of life?' I asked.
'I forget'.
'Protein,' the bartender declared. 'They found out something about protein.'
'Yeah,' said Sandra, 'that's it.'"

"She hated people that thought too much. At that moment, she struck me as an appropriate representative for almost all off mankind."
"I was thrilled, heartbroken, hilarious, insane."
"Maturity, the way I understand it, is knowing your limitations. Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter can be said to remedy anything."

-Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle
